Priorities while you level

1. Upgrade the ranged weapon. Icy Veins lists weapon damage as the first leveling concern for Beast Mastery and notes that slower, harder-hitting weapons also feed ability damage that uses weapon damage.

3. Keep the pet trained and healthy once Tame Beast is available. Official notes say pets now gain stats from Hunter gear, and they no longer receive player stat buffs. Happiness and loyalty still matter according to Icy Veins.

4. Spend mana only when it buys leveling time. Icy Veins says even an empty mana bar still kills with Auto Shot plus a pet, and that Mend Pet plus Serpent Sting are efficient uses.

5. Judge the whole setup, not pet DPS alone. A faster pet that drops aggro, a defensive pet that saves drinking, or a Charge that shortens the walk-in can all change XP per minute in different directions. Those questions are on the testing page; this site has no CFH combat results yet.

1–9 before the pet

Tame Beast is not available yet. Icy Veins tells you to land as many Auto Shots as you can, then finish with melee and Raptor Strike. That is their leveling note, not a CFH rotation test.

10–19 first pet

Mobalytics and Icy Veins both treat level 10 as the tame breakpoint. Mobalytics recommends a Boar early for Charge, then a Strider; Icy Veins recommends Bears for Swipe threat. Those are separate guide recommendations. CFH does not pick a winner.

Official changes: Aimed Shot is baseline at 20; traps can be used in combat on a 30-second cooldown; Beast Mastery adds Summon Hawk as a 16-point talent with a shared cooldown with Arcane Shot. Dual specialization is listed at 40, which is past the current beta cap.

Do not treat this hub as a level-60 Beast Mastery guide. Some client extracts still list ranks through 60. Availability in the live beta is capped at 30 as of the 1 October 2026 notes.
