Video recap · Announced

Dungeons, PvP progression, caster base damage, racials, and Druid and Skyborne models

TL;DR: A Comeback Kids video covers dungeon goals, a community caster-damage chart, racial review, and Skyborne models. Blizzard’s own pages, retrieved the same day, spell out PvP Honor and Rank Points, and say SD Skyborne characters and SD Druid forms are planned for early 2027. The chart’s percentages were not opened at the source. None of this is a Crit Forever Happens measurement.

Dungeons

The video says the Forever podcast answered the dungeon argument directly. The host’s summary: dungeons are not meant to be a single quest run and then abandoned; the previous tuning had pushed them that way; repeat trips should still have a place; grinding dungeons should not be the best way to level; and the world outside should stay worth doing. The concrete change the host names is about 20% more experience from dungeon kills.

The host also says a clarification from Aggrend, not spoken on that podcast, described a bug: kill XP had used the highest-level player in the party, so a level 25 with four level 20s could crush the level 20s’ XP. After the fix, XP should follow each player’s level against the enemy. The host says the two changes land together, that efficient dungeon play should sit very close to or equal with optimal questing, and that dungeon XP will not return to Classic Era levels.

Kaivax’s October 8 note, retrieved 2026-10-11, confirms the about-20% dungeon kill XP increase and the party-level bug fix, including the “vastly higher level” exception. That note does not contain the “will not return to Classic Era” line or the “equal to optimal questing” line. Those two sentences stay the video’s account.

The video also says new quests are less obvious in the early levels, that the team will watch which routes people take, and that a longer-term hope is a different leveling path for a later character. Dual Spec is described as set at 40, with 30 discussed and not announced. Summoning stones are described as unwanted because travel creates meetings. Onyxia’s attunement is described as remaining, and not account-wide at launch. New raids are described as enterable without an attunement, with a hint that the full experience may take extra steps. CFH did not re-open the podcast for this page. The official Episode 3 video is linked because this site already recaps it.

PvP progression

Blizzard’s article “How PvP Progression in World of Warcraft: Forever Works” was retrieved on 2026-10-11. The page did not show a publication date. It says PvP progress has two parts.

  • Honor is currency from defeating players, finishing battlegrounds, and finishing PvP quests. Highlighted battlegrounds in holiday weeks pay more. Honor gains were reviewed so rates are more consistent, and so players are not pushed to Alterac Valley only because it pays better.
  • Rank Points come from battlegrounds and relevant PvP quests, again with a holiday-week boost. They advance the original ranks toward High Warlord or Grand Marshal. Ranks have a weekly cap. The article does not give the cap’s size.

Honor buys a blue set and an epic set. The epic piece needs the matching blue piece plus an Emboldened Seal, and seals have rank requirements. The article says specializations that lacked PvP options get new or reworked items, and gives Shaman healer, melee, and caster sets as the example. Rank rewards listed on the page run from a tabard at rank 1 through epic weapons at rank 14. A season includes weekly tasks that grant Honor and Rank Points. Three tasks each season also grant a Legacy Point, and those tasks stay available in later seasons because they are tied to the Legacy system.

The Comeback Kids video describes this same split, including the Alterac Valley line, the seal upgrade, the Shaman sets, and the legacy tasks that are not a one-season miss. Where the article and the video agree, the article is the source. The video does not add a weekly-cap number, and neither does the article.

Caster base damage

The video describes a chart, shared by someone the captions call Loop, from a site the host calls Talents Forever. The host says the chart compares caster spell damage in Forever with Classic Era at zero spell power, using level 60 single-target tooltips, and that it is not a rotation or a tier list. The figures the host reads: Elemental base damage down 53%, Smite Priest down 52%, Demonology down 47%, and Destruction down 46%.

CFH did not find or open that chart. Those four percentages are only the video’s reading of a graphic. They are not a CFH measurement, and they are not stored as spell coefficients. The host’s point, which is commentary, is that a lower base tooltip does not by itself say what a spec will do once talents, new spells, cast speed, mana, and gear are included.

Racials

The video says Aggrend, on the podcast, named Orc and Troll active abilities as possibly too strong, and said weapon-skill racials are being looked at, including whether they stay or are replaced. The host says that is a review, not a removal, and that a change would more likely be a later beta update. The October 8 development note retrieved for this page does not list a shipped racial redesign.

This site’s Episode 3 recap, from the official podcast retrieved 2026-10-08, already describes that same review. This page does not add a racial ranking.

Druid and Skyborne models

Blizzard’s article “World of Warcraft: Forever — The Future of Skyborne Visual Updates” was retrieved on 2026-10-11. The page did not show a publication date. It says some explored visuals did not meet the look the team wants. For HD Skyborne Druid forms, the post says they removed some softness, added more detailed fur textures, and adjusted color saturation, so the forms read less at odds with other creatures.

The same post says HD Skyborne characters can clash with SD models and the SD world. SD Skyborne player characters, and SD Druid forms, are in development and arriving in early 2027. The post says a closer look will come nearer that date, and that an early work-in-progress image is on the article. This page does not copy that image.

The Comeback Kids video describes that post: the SD preview keeps identifying traits such as skin colors, glowing eyes, and feathers, with more angular faces and simpler hair; the HD Druid comparison is a revision of the HD forms, not the SD forms; and early 2027 means the SD option is after launch. The host’s taste comments stay the video’s, not a CFH art review.

What this page does not verify

  • The Talents Forever chart, the name Loop, and the 53%, 52%, 47%, and 46% readings. Only the video was retrieved.
  • Publication dates for the two Blizzard news pages and for the Comeback Kids upload. They were not in the text CFH retrieved.
  • A shipped racial change. The video describes a review.
  • Dwarf helmet proportions, a feral training page, and community mini-games from the rest of the video.
